How It Works

Engineered to anchor walls in place

Helical tieback anchors are used to repair foundation damage and prevent further shifting or settling. They look like large screws and are rotated into the ground facing away from the affected wall, anchoring it back to stable soil.

Once installed, tiebacks provide tension resistance that counteracts the pressure pushing your wall inward — immediately stopping movement and restoring structural integrity. They can also be combined with push piers or helical piles for enhanced versatility in both tension and compression support.

Grip-Tite® offers a 1.5-inch Square Shaft Helical suitable for anchor and tieback applications, with helix blade configurations available to meet project-specific load requirements.

Assess & Plan

A certified technician evaluates the wall, determines anchor placement, and selects the correct helix blade configuration for the soil conditions and load requirements.

Drill Through the Wall

A small hole is made through the foundation or retaining wall. No excavation is needed on the high-grade side — minimizing disruption to your landscape.

Rotate Tieback into Soil

The helical tieback is driven through the wall and rotated into stable load-bearing soil using handheld or small equipment — even in tight access areas.

Attach Wall Plate & Tension

A wall plate is secured to the interior face and the system is tensioned to immediately stabilize the wall. Load capacity is verified on the spot.

Done in Just a Few Days

The clean, grout-free installation leaves no mess behind and can be completed year-round in a matter of days, even in limited-access areas.

Don't Overlook the Signs

Is your foundation or retaining wall at risk?
